Excellent Driver and Guide to the Angkor Temples and Siem Reap Area.  - We were lucky to meet Mr. Chan Sopul of Siem Reap Taxi Batman when he took us from our hotel in Siem Reap to buy our ticket for Angkor. ... read more He offered to take us on a nearby tour of some minor sites after picking up our tickets. We then decided to hire him for the remainder of our stay (7 days) for all day trips to and from Angkor, various Siem Reap locations and one extended drive to Banteay over the course of the week. Chan was invariably on time and reliable. He offered a thoughtful schedule for visiting Angkor sites to manage heat and crowds. His driving may be the most steady on the road and he is always alert to road and traffic concerns. He quietly looks out for his clients’ interests, offering cold water and towels after hot temple visits. He shared perspectives on Khmer culture and his pricing was completely fair. We recommend him very strongly!
